Made a test between NV VZ 20 yrs old tawny and 1991 VZ Colheita, both bottled 2010.

Produced and bottled by port merchant and blender Barao de Vilar (this is not a quinta, but more the Andresen-type of company). Decanted abt 1.5 hrs. Medium brown transparent colour with a touch of red. In the beginning quite closed, but after one hour it opened up to a combined aroma of nuts and something sweet. Round, balanced, smooth in the beginning, but then some sharpness occurred. Medium body. A bit “thinner” than the 1991 VZ Colheita. Short to medium aftertaste. 86 pts.
