Initially some ripe fruit that rapidly gives way to dusty dry tannins and an old school Douro style. Plenty of tannins and earth on the palate with structure that exceeds it's price point. This improved with a few hours of air, so I'd recommend decanting at this stage for maximum experience. My first time with this vintage of this and I am pretty impressed. A darn good bottle for the price (about $13).
