The last of six bottles purchased in London 1997, so I have spent 14 years on that case! Consumed in two periods of the evening; after 3 hrs decanting and 7 hrs decanting. Medium red with a touch of brown. Powerful aroma of something undefined sweet. Balanced, elegant and still som power in the taste. Long, very pleasant finish. 92 pts.

After which amount of decanting time did you prefer better?

Not a huge difference, but preferred after 7 hrs.
It was then a bit more elegant.

I think this wine is drinking a decade shy of its peak performance. Great now, won't improve much. Best bottles are still showing plenty of bright ruby at this point, with slight bricking on the rim.

Had a bottle of this today and it's still quite young and holding up well. A really good bottle.
