2005 Quinta do Vale Dona Maria Vintage Port

Decanted 8 hrs. Tasted 1st time at 3 hrs, giving a very special experience. I have never tasted a young VP where the taste is so much dominated by spirit.
Then at 8 hrs: Medium to dark red. A bit “raw” aroma with more spirit than fruit. Taste is smooth the first seconds, but then the spirit is appearing, fortunately much less than at 3 hrs, and then also the fruit is tasted more than before. Medium to light body. After taste relatively long, and a bit dominated by spirit. 83 pts.
