Decanted about 5 hours. Lighter in color and not as rich youthful fruit that 750ml bottles typically show. This shows more menthol, tart fruit flavors, softer tannins, and a touch more spirit than full size bottles. Otherwise, still plenty of complexity and freshness with a nice semi-sweet finish.

I've never even seen this one in half bottle, very cool Andy. I noticed you made a few comments about the difference between your perception of the wine in this format vs. 750 ml. What is your typical scoring of this VP from full sized bottles?

This is really one of the finest four or five VP's of the vintage and one can never have enough of them!
