Recommendations for Douro (or any Portuguese) red table wine

I’ve recently been focusing (wine focus that is) almost 100% on Spanish and Portuguese reds and have been having so much fun with it. But I’m finding there is a lack of current information (at least that I can find) about wines in these regions. A few broader focused wine magazines or sites will occasionally cover a Spanish and Portuguese wine, but that seems to be about it. And mostly its about the more popular products like Port, Cava, Vega Sicilia, and the such.

So I’m curious if people have found other social / informational areas on the web that are similar to FTLOP, that focus on these types of wines.

Also, I’d like to hear ANY recommendations for good red table wines from these regions.

http://www.wineanorak.com is a great site, with an above average focus on the wines from Portugal - highly recommended!

John also take a look at the previous wines tasted by members. You can make a quick search with the TN words meaning tasting notes in this section.

Prats and Symington Chryseia 2001

They are still a few that come up at auction and a check on wine-searcher show several places that still have it. I won one bottle at an auction and, by coincident, picked it up today. A very good bottle.

Also,
If you can find it, the 2001 Niepoort Vertente. I've got about 8 or 9 bottles left. Give it about 1 hour decanting time and it really opens up.
