1966 Cockburn Vintage Port

Decant: 7 hours - An undeclared vintage port from Cockburn, bottled for a family member with 7 bottles sold on ebay in spring 2011 bought by Tom Archer. Deep red - a lovely colour, clear and attractive. 55% opaque. More subdued on the nose than the Cockburn 1967 shown alongside but showing similar sweet cranberry and a bit of pepper. Spicy and lively in the mouth, full of sweet fruit. Hot aftertaste and some burn before a long and sweet finish. Delicious port. 89 points
