1958 Dow Vintage Port

Decant: 2 hours - The third of the bottles bought from the Watlington Social Club sale.
Mid-orange colour, 20% opaque. Quite closed on the nose, showing tobacco and golden sultanas and which opens up nicely in the glass. Beautiful balance on entry, dry and full of sour orange peel - masses of spicy tobacco and white pepper. Hot on swallowing, then a peppery finish that mellows into grapefruit and citrus pith of considerable length. This was guessed as being FG76 and Cr66. 87 points
