1963 Dow Vintage Port

Decant: Pop 'n' pour - Modest orange colour, burnt ochre; 20% opaque. Dundee marmalade on the nose. Sweet fruit entry, with dusty tannins. The fruit volume grows well, but there is a bitter quince core not hidden by the sweet brown sugar. A sharp aftertaste, thena warm glow to the finish that is full of dry tannins and nut skins. 86 points
