1986 Fonseca Guimaraens Vintage Port

Decant: 13 days - 10,800 cases released. Mid red-brown, certainly looking mature; 50% opaque. Nothing on the nose, perhaps a little toffe and rose perfume. Sweet on the palate, cherries and over-ripe plums with soft, dusty tannins - full and rich. Warm aftertaste, full of strawberry jam and brioche. Very lovely port; poised, elegant and drinking very nicely today. 89 points
