Decant: 4½ hours - 50% opaque, deep red. Lovely nose, gentle ripe fruit, very attractive. Concentrated fruit impact, fruity and ripe. Develops beautifully on the palate to big volumes - full of orange peel but with a streak of ripe acidity. Slight heat on swallowing, leading to a long and lingering finish. A surprisingly impressive wine from a modest vintage. The bottle was sourced from a Scottish country house cellar. 92 points
