Due to financial need I am offering some of my Noval Nacional 1963 and Noval Nacional 1994 bottles that have long been kept in storage with the Wine Cellarage. Please feel free to send me a message through FTLOP if you have any questions about these outstanding vintages or the provenance of these bottles.

Both are gorgous wines. Personally, I think the 1994 will best the 1963 someday, but there's no arguing how amazing the 1963 is. I think your pricing is very good for the 1963. The 1994 is a bit pricey but worth it. One of the handful of greatest Ports I've ever tasted, and arguably the best VP, imo, since the 1970 Nacional.

I agree with your assessment, Roy, about the 1994 Noval Nacional. Since you mentioned that the pricing is a bit high for the '94, I may be able to offer a 10% discount off of 6 or more bottles - if anyone is interested, please PM me. I am having the Wine Cellarage do the selling and shipping for me for this wine (as well as for some CDP wine), for which they keep a nice commission. But I may be able to sell and ship a large order myself and thereby avoid their commission, passing on same savings to FTLOPers.

All I can do is wish you luck on your sale. Pretty tremendous wines to be sure. Those bottles are out of my reach, and even if circumstances were different and I bought them, my wife would likely have me taken out and shot.
I shudder to guess what the 1931s are going for nowadays.

Ray,
I don't think your wife would wait for you to get outside!

I rarely visit this forum, but was just browsing, as I have been asked to value a Port cellar being sold locally.
What has shocked me is the precipitous decline in Port prices in the past 6 months (slight exception for Far East).
The 63 Nacional sold at Zachy's in November 2011 for $1452 (I think that includes buyers premium - I don't buy at Zachy's).
I was almost embarrassed at the value I arrived at for the cellar
examples of current prices (rounded)
66 Warre $100
70 Graham $110
77 Croft $55
It's a buyers' world right now!

Retail prices haven't gone up and I've seen a few more good deals lately, but I don't think they've gone down a lot either. But I have seen some lower prices at auction recently, and have taken advantage of this.
Zachy's does charge a 22% buyer's premium, but that price doesn't make a lot of sense given the bidding increments. $1464 would make sense, a $1200 bid + 22%. Was that from a foreign currency auction? That would explain it. Most of the auction houses quote prices after the auction with the buyer's premium. They like to leave it out beforehand and during so you fell like you are getting a good deal. Kind of like those airfares ...
