Noticed this had started to seep, which is nothing more than a bottles way of saying it wants to be consumed. I obliged it. I didn't have time to decant it at length, so this note is from a pop-and-pour bottle. A bit cloudy brown which was more reminiscent of a Tawny left in bottle too long. A very floral nose full of licorise, rose pedals, and lavender was pure mature VP pleasure. After such a fragrant nose I was a bit let down by the palate. This bottle was a bit simple with straight forward licorise and slight tawny notes and clipped finish. For a pop-and-pour bottle the heat was in check which helped. No obvious faults, it just didn't have any "wow" factor. I don't recall ever having this before, and coupled with the bottle condition, I have no idea if this is representative or not of other bottles.
