Initially the nose was quite tight but very slowly blossomed in the glass to reveal a large amount of blueberries. An incredibly elegant wine that was deceiving light at first sip then slowly built in both body and complexity. As this sat in the glass over the course of a couple hours the tannins, subtle but prominent acidity, and Bing cherries continued to increase and commanded my full attention. Like a good Burgundy this was all about elegance, not to mention the underlying minerality. A baby of a wine still and one that, at this point, needs at least a few hours or more of decanting to allow it to express what it's fully capable of. 26,068 bottles produced.
