1997 Niepoort Vintage Port

Still a deep purple. Again that volatile acidity mares the nose, though plums are mixed in. Similar to the 1994, with cigar early and throughout, more drinkable than the 1994 but still marred by that VA. At least in this vintage, I've had prior bottles that didn't show the VA and some that did. A shame as when this shows well it is a fantastic VP.
