I opened this to compare against a 750ml bottle I recently opened. Decanted about 3 hours, rebottled, taken to a wine party, and consumed about 4 hours after that. Showed a touch of spirit initially which blew off in the glass over the course of drinking. Obviously a longer decant was needed. A touch more tannins and a bit fresher, but fuller, on the palate than the last 750ml I had. Still had that silkiness which I like about this vintage. Overall, this did show a touch younger and fuller bodied. But it does need a good long decant which this bottle was lacking a touch of, which was my fault. Always fun to open mags and I'm glad I've got a few more of these.

Great TN. Very interesting that the Mags are tasting younger... yes, I know that's the conventional wisdom, but it doesn't always play out. I will have to go and pull one of my 750's from me remote cellar and see where it stands. IT's about a 50 mile drive... on purpose ;-)
