TN: 2009 Post Scriptum Douro

I decanted this for about 2 hours while I headed out for a bike ride then prepared dinner and consumed over another 3. Though I did sneak a small sip and decanting was obviously the right choice. Very tight and lean when I opened the bottle this changed dramatically two hours later. It filled out with plenty of red stone fruit, tar, well managed tannins, a touch of minerality, and some light herbal flavors. This baby brother of the Chryseia has seemingly gone through some subtle style changes, from a very fruit forward "modern" style to a more traditional Douro style, and I am very pleased with the direction it's heading. This is one of my favorite young Post Scriptum's to date.
