This Charme is looking surprisingly young, with more saturated purplish/ruby color that we normally see on this 100% stem fermented wine. Drank from a Burgundy glass, it does burst with intense flavours of tar, cherries, earth and tree bark. The palate is fresh and velvety on the entry, great acidity as usual with ripe cherry and fresh herbs flavours. As it builds toward mid-palate and finish it takes more place and intensity without getting heavy, the wine get some bitterness and sour-cherry flavours that lingers on the finish.
