Decant: 3 hours - Deep red with a hint of bricking on the rim; still opaque. Reluctant to show on the nose, but attractively fruity with a nice twist of sage. Rich and warm on the tongue, delivering dry black cherry on the mid-palate that dominates the cocoa tannins; nicely structured with a good balance and confident presence. Slight heat on the aftertaste shows the acidity in the wine, then a generous fruit-dominated finish of very good length and volume. A good port that has a decade or two more improvement ahead of it. 90 points
