1980 Quarles Harris Vintage Port

Decant: 3 days - Very dark red, 99% opaque. Not much on the nose, just a little dark fruit. Restrained entry, hints of sweet fruit but enormous tannins - very chewy. Develops well on the palate. Chewy aftertaste, tannin dominated and a big length of bitter chocolate. A big wine dominated by the tannins - will be tremendous if the fruit lasts. 85 points
