Intitially decanted for about 2hrs, there was a little spice, violet and a little heat on the nose while the palate had some pepper and raspberry jam. After a further hour, the fruit is more generous and fleshed out with a bit more spice.
On day 2 this had really opened up after spending the night in a cling wapped decanter. There was a much more velvety mouthfeel, with cinnamon and cardamon along with some tobacco evident on the nose. The heat that was present on day one had receeded. On the palate it was much more elegant, and balanced. It was a couple of points better on day two, and a far better showing than when I last tried this one. 92 points
