1992 Warre's Quinta Da Cavadinha Vintage Port

Decanted 5 hours, perfect cork. Noticeable heat, along with bright berry fruits and a hint of licorice and old school gummi candies (like 1960s style) on the nose. The palate is mid weight, with a sweeter than average bent and great length. The flavors of black and red berries come through in spaces, as well as cloves on the finish and aftertaste. Also noticeable is a red vines-y note in the beginning/middle. This port definitely leans more to the primary and young sides of things, but also shows a lot of ripeness. Age for 10+ more years for sure with good results, but ripe enough to be really enjoyable now despite the pretty solid structure.
