1983 Croft Quinta de Roeda Vintage Port

Tasted blind in a lineup of 1983 Vintage Ports. Red-amber color with good clarity. Aromas of olive oil, vegetables, leaves, and Provençal herbs; and musty too. Weak body with faint flavor, and the vegetable shows up in the mouth as well. Some sweetness and cherry in the finish, which is almost medicinal. Later noted cola nut and cider aromas. 85 points.
