Just got an update from George Rhys at Southwick Court Fine Wines. He has a amazing private collection of wines up for sale including
1 bottle of Taylor 1927 £595
More bottles of Croft 27 £425
and a number of cases of the Graham 55 at £3595

I have no link to Southwick but in my somewhat hazy memory of the trip I remembered that a rather experienced port drinker on the trip was pretty keen to try the 1927 Taylor!

It is nice to see you have finally resurfaced as we were worried about you after not hearing from you since your return from the trip. Trust all is well with you and that haze has now cleared and only the "good" remains in your memory banks?

I have had the Taylor '27 on at least three occasions that I can think of, but it is the ever elusive 1927 Fonseca that is my one and only remaining "holy grail" of a Vintage Port.

Just to tease you, this is the personnal reserve of 1927 from Fonseca lodges, around 40 bottles. Sounds like a good idea for a next trip for FTLOPers

Yeah, I'm just now getting back into the grove myself. Enjoying one of my favorite 20yr Tawny's tonight...Ferreira Duque de Braganta. Although my last bottle of this in my cellar, so time to buy more soon.

Sorry not been great at posting, sent PM's or old fashioned thank you letters to our fantastic hosts and organisers throughout the trip - nearly finished. Certainly are only good memories the haze is caused from never getting to bed before 2am the whole trip and never being able to say no to "one for the road"

I will make a concerted effort to improve the number of posts I write!

I recently bought a T27 from Tom Chadwick's auction house (for £275) - it'll go in the same alcove as the F27 & N31....

At the other end of the scale, I bought 7 bottles of Real Vinicola Q. Sibio '60 and a Neipoort Colheita '52/'73 - all with levels i/n - for just £85 +BP the lot today - can't go far wrong at that price...!
