Glenn, you might have got the last ones, they moved on to the next one shortly thereafter.

I think my timing was just lucky. WTSO usually posts their first new wine at 9:00 am Eastern, but for some reason today they didn't do that.

I'm not complaining, I got some more 2010 OVR out of it!

Interesting that the number of pending bottles of this on CellarTracker went from 20 to 47 over the last few days.
It was 20 before i got mine.
Wonder how many cases WTSO sold...

I don't track dry wine on CellarTracker, so the 4 I bought still aren't recorded there. My wife and I just don't keep that many "nice" bottles of dry wine around, so it's not worth the effort to log them anywhere. I could probably rattle off a 90% accurate list off the top of my head because it's only about 3 cases of wine.

I keep even fewer...
Like tracking it though just to keep a log of how much $$ I spend treating myself w nicer stuff.

I also don't log my wines into CT and am very good friends with Eric for a decade or more now and we're in a tasting group together since 2003. That being said, removing the wines from CT pages is the single reason why I do not use it. I have a good amount of non-fortified wines in the cellar, but I pretty much know 90% of what they are and where they reside in my small cellar.

Will be taking one of these to a friend's this weekend.
How long a decant would you recommend? 2-3 hours?

Yes 2-4 in my opinion should be fine.

And the closer to 4, the better the wine will show. Still so brash with big young fruit and oaky too, so more air time and it will integrate better. You wouldn't hurt it with five hours in decanter, either.

I don't get the oak showing as much on this vintage as I have in the past. No idea if they've started to dial it back a little or not. I would suspect (read: pure speculation), given the recent trend away from lots of oak and at least one major reviewer commenting about how oaky they are, this may be the case.

Thanks guys. Appreciate it.
Will give it a nice long decant and then pour back in.
Last thing I want to see happen is like a few weekends ago when in Portugal. Got a nice bottle of a Noval Red (~€35) that I pop and poured. What a waste. Could tell that w proper decant it would have been great, as in the little time it was in my glass it opened up a bunch, but overall POP was no good. So so sad.
