Upon initial decanting, the wine showed as pretty one-dimensional. There wasn't much spirit heat and the flavor was very grape jelly-like. 24 hours after the double decant, the wine was showing better. The grape jelly flavor had melded with some acid coming out and producing a decent wine that is good to pair with either chocolate desserts or with Stilton. The alcohol heat appeared a little but not by much, so it's an easy wine to drink. This will never be a great wine, but it's ok for the price. Drink now while waiting for excellent wines to age.
