Luis Pato has some cool wines with this grape, though I have not tried anything beyond the Vinhas Velhas offering price wise for table wines. I did get to try his AM Rosado, a dessert wine made from Baga. AM stands for Abafado Molecular, which denotes the process through which the wine is made. I was told it was akin to an artificially made eiswein.

I believe this grape is called Tinta Bairrada in the Douro, also.

After being here 11 years, Baga is my preferred single varietal wine. Frequently too tannic for many, I find it enjoyable provided I can match a dish to the bottle.
