Vieira de Sousa 10 years old Tawny Port
Served at 12 Celcius for the this hot spring day! Deep amber color with ruby hint in the middle. Nose of fresh vanilla burbon, grilled nuts, candied orange peel and cinamon, quite expressive and balanced, no signs of alcool. On the palate this tawny is quite rich, Luisa like to say this wine robust, authentic and rustic like Douro aged Tawny should be and I have to agree. Withouth beeing too sweet, it is defenitively thick though, smoot velvety palate, flavours of grilled almonds and caramel, lots of spices, cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamon leading to a dry and refreshing finish dominated by acidity full of citrus flavours that goes on! Delicous. 93pts
