Decant: 8 hours - Imperial College stock. Slightly murky decant; 70% opaque and very similar in colour to the G85 alongside. Floral nose, with a hint of VA. Medium bodied, dry palate with plenty of restrained fruit: dry tannins on the cheeks, which fade quickly to allow the fruit to blossom. An explosion of mature fruit and raisins on the aftertaste before a long and delicious finish takes hold. This is excellent drinking, with some elegance combined with power - just a pity about the VA on the nose. 87 points
