With its unique diversity of grape variety and region, Portugal has a lot to offer the wine drinker.

Dinamic winemaking, diversity of grape varieties and regions, and producers with strong commitment to the whole UK market are just some of the reasons why you should attend one of these tastings and discover what the wines of Portugal have to offer you.

You will enjoy wines imported by prominent importers who sell nationally to both on and off-trade. You will also discover wines that are new the the UK. These wines have been through a rigorous pre-selection tasting. Wines of Portugal are here to help you find wines that suit your market.

Portuguese Food Market: Enjoy Portuguese Petiscos and tastes throughout the day with some leading Importers of Portuguese food.

Generating Passion

In the last year, enthusiasm for Portuguese wines in the on-trade gave rise to a staggering 32% increase in sales. The wines prove ever popular with retailers who continue to reap reward for their passion and interest in Portugal.

You will discover why Portuguese wines had such phenomenal success in the 2006 competitions when you taste the trophy, gold and silver medal winning wines on the themed table.

'A New Voyage of Discovery'

Tutored tasting with Charles Metcalfe

"Portugal has had a winemaking revolution! Exciting new wines are being made along its whole length, from minerally Alvarinhos in the north to charming, balanced reds in the Algarve, by dedicated winemakers, young and old. There are new estates and new brands to discover, as well as rejuvenated old favourites awaiting our return. Portugal's wine flavours are unique, made from grapes the rest of the wine world has yet to discover.

Come with me on a voyage of discovery .... "

"WINE WORTH SHOUTING ABOUT"
- Charles Metcalfe

" I traveled the length of the country ... And I saw more good red and white wines than ever before.
Touriga Nacional. Trincadeira and Castelão ... They can make great and characterful wines, and are doing so, right now.
However, in the world outside, no one knows them ....
THEY ARE WORTH SHOUTING ABOUT "
- Charles Metcalfe July 2006
