Exibiting a dense ruby color, this Vertente is the essence of this wine style, a replication of the claret happening in the Douro. The nose is quite open on black currant, plums, licorice and dry cedar tones. The palate is dry, tannins are finely grained and the acidity is present but pleasant on flavours similar to what the nose is showing. The balance is there, the finale is of medium length showing plums and that douro minerality. Great expression of the Douro at a reasonnable price 16/20 27$can

For those living in Quebec, be quick, it has been release today and it's already selling fast. I don't know if there is more in the warehouse though.
