1994 Cockburn's Vintage Port

I've knocked off about 10 375s and 3-4 750s over the last 7 years. All have averaged from about 87-91 points. None were really ready (of course). My bottle was stored passively in the garage upright (~58-62F).
The 375 I opened 2 nights ago was the best bottle yet. The most telling aspect was that my wife tried my glass, said "this is good", and asked for her own glass. This was decanted 3 hours and put back in the bottle. It was gassed and was just as good the next day.
The color is a dull transparent ruby-brick core with a very wide watery pink-watermelon colored rim. Aromas of prunes, raisins, super-ripe gapes, and a touch of caramel and hint of barrel are moderately pronounced. On the palate, the flavors of prunes, raisin and hyper-ripe grapes dominate (and follow the nose). The tannins are ripe, soft and present but not obvious. The flavors, unlike all previous bottles, fill out and are completely integrated. 93
Given that the fruit is starting to come around but that the tannins are ripe and soft I would think about trying one of these in the next 4-5 years (2008-2012). Estimated lifespan of my bottles, 2010-2020.
