I opened a half bottle several hours ago, and had no idea what to expect, but I think it is very good. A really nice port. Has anyone else had experience with Burmester?

It's one of my favourite 85's Thomas.

I am glad to hear it. Did they do exceptionally well in the one year, or do you think it is a house to look out for?

I've had a few Burmester vintage ports but the 85 is the best one I've had.One to look out for that is quite cheap to buy is the 89 vintage. They do however make very good colheitas.

i have not tried but a few burmesters over the years. i think the last one was a 1983. it was before i truly understood the process, i don't remember decanting it for a significant amount of time, but it was acceptable and my guests enjoyed it.
