Last night I attended a small wine offline from the Parker forum and one of the attendies brought this wine. I took no written notes last night, so this is just off of memory.
The color was just starting to show some its age with some bricking. The nose had some dark fruit but in a very soft floral way. On the palate this was a little tired. The fruit was very soft and elegant, but lacking in grip. THere was still a decent amount of acid, and almost no noticable tannins. The finish was a little clipped at first, then got better about 15 minutes after openning. My overall impression was of a well aged Douro wine, but at the end of its life. I would not hold this wine much longer as it is just past its peak and starting the downhill slide. 86 points
