Decanted 1 hour prior, here is a brief impression. Black cherries, mild tannins, no overt oak poking out, and it also is continuing the recent trend to be a bit more Douro-like and less new-world in style, thankfully. It gained a tad more complexity and depth as it sat open, but about 2 hours into it it was gone. I'll decant the next bottle for 2-3 hours and see what changes take place. Overall, I was happy with this and continues to show how good 2011 was for Douro wines.
