Also on label: “Cuvée Mário Braga”. Tasted with lunch at Quinta do Mourao as part of the 2014 FTLOP Harvest Tour. 30 % Touriga Nacional, 30 % Touriga Franca, 20 % Tinta Roriz, 10 % Tinto Amarela and 10 % Tinto Barocca. Produced 3.333 bottles.
Bottled June 2009, after having stayed 2.5 years in French oak barrels. Tasting note is from one of the two bottles brought home to Norway.
Decanted 2.5 hrs. Dark red colour with a tiny touch of brown. Aroma of oak and herbs. Full body. Quite powerful taste with a lot of minerals and oak and some smoke. “Thinner” in the middle part. Nice tannins. Long aftertaste. 88 pts.
