1985 Fonseca Vintage Port

Tasted blind. Deepest and darkest color of any 1985 tasted today. This is very dark and opaque, with just a hint, barely, of brown tint to the hue on the rim. The aroma is more faint than the color would suggest, but there is some deep berry, a hint of chocolate, and some grape stem. There is some warmth in the mouth, but lots of fruit, and some tannins. This lives up to the color. Medium bodied, still lots of juice … 94-96 points. Today I’ll go with 94. My first guesses, in order, for this blind taste were Fonseca, Smith Woodhouse, then Graham. I then scratched these out and reordered, Smith Woodhouse, Fonseca, Graham. I should have stuck with my first impression.

Was this the first or second bottle on day 2 note?

Sounds like Day 1 to me, plus he's listed the tasting date as the 24th so I suspect that's true.
