20 Year Old Tawny Port by Sandeman

Bottled 2014. A light tanish-orange-redish color. Nose of oranges, honeysuckle, and old wood. The sweetness on the palate is perfectly balanced with just enough acidity, orange peel, mahogany, and plenty of dried nuts. A seamless transition to the long finish makes this a hard one to stop drinking. Somehow my glass was always topped up until the bottle was gone. For these reasons, along with a couple other 20 year old tawny's, this remains one of my favorite.

Agreed. Why Sandeman doesn't get more credit for their Tawny lineup is beyond my understanding. The 30 is awesome and the 40 one of my favorites.

I love the Sandeman 20 year and 30 year as well. And their prices are still reasonable, at least for now. Shhhh! :scholar:
