TN: 2011 Quinta do Vale Meao Douro red

This is the Douro red that came in on 4th place of Wine Spectators list of Top 100 wines November 2014. As you will see from the tasting note I fully agree that this a an amazing red wine. Buy it if you can find it.
2.5 hrs decanting. Dark red colour with a tiny light rim. Wonderful complex aroma of berries, terroir/minerals and oak. Full body. This wine is very elegant, fruity, powerful, a perfect acidity level, well structured, well balanced, long aftertaste. It has a very nice totality that is very seldom in red wines. 96 pts.
