Tasted blind. Aroma of sweet candy caramel, showing good promise. There is a hint of musty age, but here it is a positive and pleasant thing—not a distraction. There are some dried leaf-herb aromatics as well. There is also a hint of bubblegum, possibly band-aid. It is really nice in the mouth. A little bit of distracting musty dried leaf aroma later keeps this just behind the leading wine thus far. This was #8 tasted, with #4 (Rocha) still ahead but with the same score. 94+ points.
