Bottled 2012. Some spirit and esters, but after the Lamelas 40+ Year Old White, the aromas in this one are really hiding. There is a little musty wood, some brûlée, and some raisin. Really nice balance, on the light side, but pleasant. Then there was some tangy tangerine and sweet candied orange. Despite the more subtle character, this was quite nice. 93 points.

I've got mixed views on this one. It is nice, but it comes off to me as having an industrial flavor to it. Don't know if that is from a poor spirit used to fortify it, inferior quality grapes, or something else. It reminds me of some whites I've had from the Casa do Douro before. Stylistically it's a huge departure from the original Golden White.
