Bottled 2015. Beautiful clear copper color. Creme Brulee nose with almonds. Some obvious alcohol. Medium bodied. Flavors of butterscotch, lime... and then finally some cocoa. This isn't a Douro baked monster, but instead a classic Oporto aged Colheita. Long, sneaky finish. I was told at the Kopke tasting room that the new bottling of this was a step up over previous one.... and I would agree. Very drinkable and delicious. It opened up quite a bit with time. Very good, but subtle complexity. A really lovely wine! 93 points.
