Blackett 30 year old tawny port

Post by Rune EG »

Bottled 2014. Decanted 2 hrs. Dark brown colour, probably darker than most 30 years old tawnies. Aroma at start dominated by almonds, then oak and some citrus. Full body. Although powerful, the taste is at the same time impressingly silky/elegant. Quite impressive. Furthermore citrus (coming on stronger during the taste), some herbs, oak and alsmonds. Tiny bit bitterness/dryness towards the end. Long aftertaste. Exciting and ”big” 30 year old tawny. 94 pts.
