Restaurant Presuntaria Transmontana, Gaia - May 2018
Decanted 1 hr which was perfect. An hour after decanting time the wine started to “flatten out” a bit, but still very nice. Fantastic aroma in a wonderful combination of minerals/oak/berries/leather. Very seldom aroma is at such a high level. Full body. Powerful and elegant. The wine had real substance but was still incredibly smooth. Well-structured wine with nice balance acidity/sweetness. Aroma was 98. Wine was 95. Final score 96 pts.

I love Leda wines. Have you had the 2008?

No, unfortunately not.
Barca Velha has the last 15 years been produced at Quinta da Leda.
2008 Barca Velha is the last released of that wine, and it has on general basis got very good scores.
So if the 2008 Leda is very good then that fits with the scores of 2008 Barca Velha.

The 2008 Leda rocks and IMO just a tiny bit better than the 2007. Try to find it if you can.
