TN: 2015 Quinta do Crasto Old Vine Reserva Douro

Forgot to write a note on this when I had it, so here's one from memory. IIRC, it was decanted about 4 hours. It was one of the best balanced Reserva's in many years. Lots of tar, minerality, fresh fruit and far less noticable young oak than many previous vintages. A side note here is that I've been noticing less oak on Crasto's wines (and many other Douro wine too) and that is a good thing IMO. It really allowed that fresh fruit to dominate and didn't cloud the wonderful complexity this has. This will benefit from some age, probably 5-8+ years, and given the apparent slight change in winemaking perhaps longer. Regardless, going back to 1995 this is one of the best vintages of this wine I've had.
