TN: 2010 Quinta do Crasto Touriga Nacional Douro red

It is now 8.5 years after harvest and time to taste it again. Decanted 3.5 hrs (will do 4 hrs next bottle). Deep dark red colour with a tiny light rim.
Complex intense aroma dominated by fruit with minerals in the background. Medium body (slimmer than other Touriga Nacionals from Crasto). Powerful and elegant at start with strong influence of dark red berries. Also, schist/minerals with distinct tannins in the background, which is OK. This wine is well-structured although it does not have so much depth. Acidity/sweetness-balance is good. Medium length aftertaste which included hints of sweet berries. 93 pts.
