Mmm, very alluring wine! Quite mute at first, this slowly unfolds to show inky color, excellent acidity, floral notes interplaying with smoke, chocolate and Port aromas. This is very vibrant on the palate, extremely acidic on its own but utterly singing with a spice-rubbed and grilled rack of lamb. A little chalky at this point and quite young, this has a very bright future ahead. The purity and power of the wine with the food was really quite nice. (92 pts.)

A mere youngstah!

It is going to be beautiful in another 5 years and should drink well for quite awhile thereafter.

Good to see you drinking some Douro wines my friend. I did notice your collection during the cellar tour. We really do need to get together and drink. I just need to stay at home for more than 2 days in a row and we could do so.

I still have your bottle waiting for its execution and promise that it is improving every day, but hopefully in December we'll put it out of its misery.

I hope you've checked back on your thread re: Q d Noval's LBV. I was incorrect ... and found out the details right from the source for you.
