Decanted 4 hrs which was fine. Dark purple colour with a light rim. Powerful aroma of fruit with minerals in the background and touch of oak. Medium to full body. Powerful and elegant. Plenty of fruit. Nice tannins which are not ”too much” polished. Oak and minerals towards the end. Nice acidity/sweetness-balance and the structure is well-in-place. Long wonderful aftertaste. 94 pts.

What do you think the aging potential is for this vintage of it?

I had this recently. I was VERY impressed. Still quite young and better after 6-8 hours in decanter. This has a long life ahead.

I agree with David that this 2011 Crasto Roriz will be good for storage.
How long is difficult to say as there are not that many Roriz Crasto vintages.
Smaller amounts in 1997, 1999 then a little bit more in 2003 and 2005 before they started with yearly launches as from 2009.
We will find out some years ahead, but may be that the Crasto Tinta Roriz will have a longer age ability than Crasto Touriga Nacional?

I've said it before, TN on its own is a very tough grape to tame into a wine. I think it makes a great blending grape, a single varietal wine not so much. Granted Crasto generally does it better than most.

I am very certain that the Crasto Tinta Roriz will have a longer lifetime that the Touriga Nacional. Currently the 2016 Crasto Touriga Nacional is a BEAST, but I don't think it will so intense in a few years
