Six hours until my flight to Portugal

I am very excited to head over to Portugal again. Jeez, two months in a row and if you count being there in Dec. too ... it will be three months in a row.

I just got home a couple of hours ago, from a week away in Colorado and this is a tough turn around. Then again, two days after my return I am heading to NY for a week. The madness doesn't stop there.

Anyway, I should be able to access FTLOP from over there. I have some insane tastings that I am very much looking foward to. More fodder for the newsletter. It has been about 16 months since I was in Portugal without leading a tour, so this is going to be a very different type of visit.

Hold down the fort, men. General Stewart and Colonel Andy are in charge! 8--)

Oh yeah, the good news is that FTLOP issue #27 should reach your mailbox on Tuesday or Wednesday. Enjoy!

Have a safe trip.

BTW, if you decide to stay permanently in the mother land, have no fear, General Stewart and I will guard your cellar. Although, there may not be much to guard after awhile

Andy,

Written from the Newark airport:

Bring a gun or Taylor will kick your butt. She's better than a Rottweiler!

If you manage to get past her ... I have a feeling that you and Stewart will have years of good fun down there, but leave something for Doe to drink on occasion (and not just the Ports).

I had no choice but to go from here to Lisbon then to Porto, kind of a bummer but hey ... its the holiday season and all that jazz.

The good news is that my hotel has web connectivity, although I am focusing on getting lots done on the Dec. newsletter.

Take care!

Roy,

Are you in the UK on this trip? If so, let me know and I'll see you at the Crusting Pipe

Hi Derek,

Unfortunately not. I am now in Lisboa waiting for 3 hours for my next flight and one day might just wind up in Porto. Don´t you think I would´ve let you know if I was going to be back in range of the Pipe?

These Portuguese keyboards always give me a hard time but they do have all the accent marks that I can only dream of being able to use.
