1999 Taylor Quinta de Vargellas Vintage Port

Raspberry with a little earthiness. Wonderful tannins, some milk chocolate on the nose. Long finish with fruit giving way to slightly pronounced tannins. Perhaps a little bing cherry on the palate. 93 points.

My son added his own notes on the nose (not taste since he's only 10!)...

Dense, salty, minerally. Dark cranberry/sun dried tomatoes. Spicy and zesty with mild fruit. Darker. Full in the mouth, with caramely coca taste. What you might call a "garden" wine. A seawater swell at the beginning then transferring into a zesty smell that releases the smell of cranberry and hemp. 93-95 points.
